It's February of 1960, and I'm traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco. My first time going up the coast road. There had been a winter storm that messed things up along the coast. A tanker full of wine was in trouble off of San Francisco.

I stopped at one of the many scenic overlooks along the way and captured this scene of an angry Pacific Ocean venting its wrath upon the shoreline. Since I was using a film camera, there was no delay in the shutter and it was easy to capture this scene at the "decisive moment." With my current digital camera it would be a lot trickier.
