A year in the life...
| |||
This was shot in the Metropolitan Museum a few years ago, just after they had renovated this long hallway between the cafeteria and the main entrance. The hallway is filled with Greek and Roman statuary, and the galleries off the hallway hold artworks from that period.But as people hike through here, the one place they don't look is up. In terms of architecture, the ceiling and the skylights are interesting in themselves.This picture was made with a very wide angle lens. It captures the scene in a very interesting fashion, with a statue in the foreground and lots of detail above. The little star that you see was caused by one of the spotlights embedded in the ceiling. (The number of rays in the star tells how many blades were in the lens's diaphragm.) Some color was added to liven things up.
