This is one of the large galleries at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. It harbors part of their collection of modern art.I saw the museum itself as art. Here, the afternoon sun, coming through the skylight, throws a pattern on the wall that evokes the background in an old movie. The single figure at the apex adds scale and human interest. The image was first broken into layers that represented both location within the image, and the corresponding tonal values. The layers were colorized, then merged back together to form the final image. Some minor adjustments, and this is the result.
