This cat lives on a buffalo ranch near Culpeper.I tried to imagine how an Impressionist artist would render this cat, but they weren't really into painting animals. Most of their pictures with cats used them as props, rather than as the main subject.So I started by removing a lot of the extraneous detail. (This is a tricky process, but it left the cat smiling.) Then the colors were changed to a more pleasing palette. Then a little fiddling with the tonal range. Voila! Not your everyday cat picture.I just noticed that it's Friday the 13th. Good thing that the Hobbitt feels that this is her lucky day.
